I think you're on to a real crowd catcher here. I've seen lots of Internet cafe's are interested in this topic, because they're scared of cops or the NBI knocking on their doors looking for pirated software. Running open-source OpenGL'ed games natively on Linux is a good one also, or at least with wine. Tangent to that idea, how about building and maintaining virtual machines? It's currently a hot topic too, for the corporate world.
