elaborating on Mike's statement, good luck on your insurance claims if
you+your car got into an accident which is caused by a faulty electrical
wiring/electronics and is traceable to the hack that you did based on the
factory settings/parts that (were not meant to be altered) were altered by
you and you didn't report it to the insurance company beforehand to avoid
having an increase in premium.

unless the insurance company gives you complete coverage (w/c includes mods)
or they don't hire post-accident vehicle inspectors, then I guess you can
get away with it (and put them out of business unless they're really into
race car insurance)  :-)
