It is (or was?) the bug of the sky2 driver. I encountered a similar problem before using the Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8053 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller that also uses a sky2 driver. The best thing you can do is to check the latest sky2 driver from http://git.kerne.org/ if the multiple problems with the said driver has been fixed already. If yes then I suggest that you upgrade and compile your own kernel with the latest sky2 driver. If not then you don't have a choice but to wait until it is fixed.
