There's still a niche for OpenMoko+FreeRunner. Android does NOT have the source for the HTC Dream/G1 hardware. If you really want a Free Software phone down to the bare metal, then Android is not it. The released Android code is a reference platform for manufacturers who want to want to build Android phones.
