There might be no way to do that on the N81. First of all, Blackberries are 
using some kind of proprietary protocol to push email to Blackberry devices, so 
you can't do that on your N81. The closest thing available is OMA EMN (Open 
Mobile Alliance Email Notification), which the N81 does not support but is 
supported by other Nokia E- and some N-series phones. And as far as I know 
there aren't any open source implementation yet, but if you can program, the 
specs are available. The other option is IMAP IDLE, but that requires that you 
have an IMAP server that supports IDLE, and an unlimited data plan (AFAIK, 
local carriers don't have this anymore for handset subscribers.) because the 
phone needs to be constantly connected to the IMAP server. I'm not sure if the 
IMAP client on the N81 supports IMAP IDLE.
