Hi,

My org (a non-profit) and a colleague from another organisation are in
the process of upgrading servers. We hope to seek your advice...

We are starting a process of upgrading servers.

One of them is a web hosting server (Apache, PHP, MYSQL) which also has
e-mail services (POP3, IMAP, SMTP, etc), DNS and icecast running on it.
With these change we will improve the performance of our services and we
also want to get rid of VHCS, which is a GPL - Control Panel Software.
VHCS is no longer being updated. Months ago the development team split.
And the VHCS project stayed drifting. Now VHCS has become ispCP, and
even though there is a way to upgrade to ispCP, we would like to try
another Control Panel Software (GPL) instead. And we are hoping some one
from you guys would like to recommend software of this kind, that works
with the schemma: Administrators-Resellers-Users, with each user in
control of his/her services FTP, email, subdomains, databases, support
tickets, traffic control etc.

We have seen syscp.org, gnupanel.org and others, but who knows which is
best?

The second web server is working for a couple organizations (shared
server), in this one we would like to offer some integrated options of
groupware (under GPL, also) like calendar, address book, collaborative
edition of documents, etc. Here we found ebox-platform.com wich looks
good. Do you know another options?.

And one last thing is: we are in need of a good hardening/securing
methodology, if you know some online resources or maybe a title of a
book we can buy, any of that will be very useful.

Well, thank's in advance.

Cheers,
Sarah
