I haven't seen a real "one-click" installer yet, but AFAIK Cyanogen's the
easiest to install (well, at least for HTC Dream and HTC Magic). You don't
need to do anything special.

By the way, just a caveat. I'm very wary of installing a different radio
image -- if you mess it up, you'll really brick your phone. So in most
cases, I would follow all the instructions for installing custom ROMs EXCEPT
changing my radio image. In my experience (at least with HTC Magic) the
installation still goes well without it and your phone will still be rooted:
back up all important apps and SMS, boot into recovery mode, do nandroid
backup, wipe (if needed), install new custom ROM, reboot. If you don't like
the new ROM, simply go back into recovery mode, and do a nandroid restore.
