Has anyone implemented SSH port forwarding/tunnelling to secure database
communication fleet wide?
I would like to know its performance, stability if ssh session usually disrupts
or not? Im planning to use this for Oracle and Sybase db servers. I thinking of
putting a dedicated ssh tunnelling jumphost in the fleet:
USERS
|
SSH TUNNEL JUMPHOST
|
_______________________
| |
ORACLE DB SYBASE DB
SERVERS SERVERSse
Not all database transaction will use ssh port forwarding, this will only be
used for password management system.
