We can debate about it all we can but the real score is, it's not that easy as it looks regarding the Android and the Linux kernel.
Let the lawyers discuss it, not end users. Read this http://lawandlifesiliconvalley.com/blog/?p=593 Even Linus Torvalds said that Bionic is not a derived work of the Linux kernel, and is therefore not covered by the GPLv2. Oh, and Android is not GPL-licensed. It's Apache Software License (ASL 2.0). In my opinion, treat Android as a distro using a Linux kernel (GPLv2) and underlying applications under various licenses. <http://lawandlifesiliconvalley.com/blog/?p=593> On Fri, Mar 25, 2011 at 10:15 AM, Rafael R.
