my msi wind u100(first gen) is still working fine on the latest ubuntu distro. all peripherals are working. it comes with xp though so you may want to look for those without windows to save a bit. bring a live distro un a usb, a wifi hotspot (or capable phone), and another usb drive for testing on the shop floor.
