Jason, That's apparently the default with pine/alpine. It's worked for a dozen years, and seems appropriate since I use the same box as both the (mail) server and my workstation. Two of those domains had not before sent me any messages, but each sent two (original and a resend) and neither made it to my INBOX. The third sends messages every day that were always seen.
