it doesn't look like you've actually looked at the mail logs to see what
else was going on around the time those errors were generated. i
occasionally see errors like that from a real sendmail and they are
usually related to spam activity and dropped connections. it could be
totally harmless. so find that section of the maillog and possibly the
system log (messages usually) to see what else was logged around that
time.
