Joe,

   I did grep /var/log/maillog* for sendmail ...

   That's what it seemed to be in the logs. I found a bunch of rejected spam
and all had 'sendmail' rather than 'postfix' in the log.

   I suspect that it is, but thought someone had a definitive answer for me.
