most thing will work just fine.  a few will look into /etc/redhat-release 
and whine if it doesn't have the magic redhat version name.  a quick edit 
is usually all that needs.  i did just hear an anecdote yesterday about a 
program crash happening on centos that went away when the system was 
reinstalled with real redhat.
