New website? Our host, Wil Cooley, set up a moin-moin instance for us, so we can all participate in updating the content. So far, few have contributed. The wiki needs a few anti-spam tweaks, but mostly it needs participation. We haven't linked to it, allegedly so the spammers would stay out, but they found it anyway. So here it is:
http://www.pdxlinux.org/wiki/ If somebody really wants a better website, start adding content, or copy and update content from the old html pages. Wil has been pretty busy, but if approached politely he might be willing to add the antispam tweaks, and perhaps do a cutover to make the wiki our main page. Moin can be skinned to make it look different, but it is silly to put lipstick on a pig when you don't have the pig. So clean up the spam, move and create content, and later on we will worry about how pretty the content is. Of course, that means doing Real Work instead of Telling Other People What to Do. I've already built many plug-wiki pages, and a few others have contributed also. Who wants to join us?
