David, I think you and I need to talk about the PLUG web site, and then we need to talk with others. You said you are interested in leading an upgrade effort. This is great. pdxLinux.org definitely needs some help. It sort of gets us by, but it hurts PLUG when we need to present ourselves to non-PLUG members - like when recruiting speakers and influencing business and political types, etc.
We also have a number of other people who are interested and want to pitch in. It sounds like this is a good time to do an upgrade. As a first step, we need to consider what people would like to see in an upgraded web site and look at our resources. I think we should start by discussing some of this at tonight's meeting. Also, I interested in where the wiki (currently pdxLinux/wiki) fits into the picture. Would it make sense to replace the current site with the wiki and then work on populating it? Wikis are cool, and they express the spirit of PLUG really well.
