Drew, I installed db42 from the Slackware-12.0 distribution, but it made no difference, even when I ran ldconfig first. So, I gave up, blew away the repository and started over. Yes, I remember your problem with LDAP and BDB; there's a thread on that specific problem on someone's web page. It didn't help me at all. Rich -- Richard B.
