i use milter-greylist with sendmail as well as the greetpause option (delay the initial smtp banner and reject if anything is sent before that). in the greylist config i have it set to accept anything that passes spf, except if the spf passes with my own ip and it isn't me. that keeps out email where the spf is set for wildcard acceptance. using that combination does a pretty good job of keeping the bots at bay. i also then use postini as a content filter. i could probably live without postini, but i run my isp so i take advantage of the postini option.
for non-technical people i strongly recommend postini. they don't do greylisting, but they do a pretty good job. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
