Sorry, I'm afraid you're stuck with the proprietary version. Note also that if your wife wants to ring her sister, VoIP -> landline termination in Istanbul costs $0.0275/min. (Cell is 12 cents more.) I can hook her up with a calling-card if she wants to try it.
