First, having created the link, I get the same error message when I try to launch OOo. I suspected from the beginning that the openoffice.org3 folder was the new one. The fact that Mike has only an openoffice.org folder lends credence to this supposition. Why I have two is a mystery. I also tried renaming each folder in turn and then trying to launch OOo. Not only could it not find libuno_so.3, it couldn't even find the program file. It couldn't find the program file regardless of which folder was renamed. Apparently it needs both folders. Another mystery. At this point I think it is hopelessly borked. I am going to uninstall everything and then try again. Before reinstalling I am going to move both the folders to a distant planet. I think I'm also going to use Nautilus to search on openoffice* and remove every other file on the computer, except my config folder in ~/. Maybe a squeaky clean fresh install will get it working. The really weird part is that it launches right after installing it, but the second time you try to launch it you get the error message that it can't find the libuno_so.3 file. Apparently the mere act of launching it causes it to soil itself. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
