As an aside, the Toshiba Satellite low-end laptop we bought a couple of months ago did not come with official OS restoration media. However, when Best Buy had their techies check the unit before it was put up for sale the techies made a couple of disks and gave them to us. Although we'd have no use for them if the unit worked, I took them and appreciated their efforts.
