Set Firefox's cache size to 0. Maybe the page was down for a bit, and
Firefox cached this fact. Also, do you have a web proxy, such as squid?
Though the fact that other browsers can reach the same page sorta isn't
consistent with squid being the problem.

Maybe go to about:config in Firefox and look for anything fishy.
