Issue resolved. Turns out that nothing is required, but their server didn't like an ethernet connection so she's using the wireless access point here without any issues at all. Go figure. Opera on my workstation apparently reports itself as IE-5.5, and their server wants 6.0 or greater. I'll go find where to make that change.
