It seems that you withheld what you already knew about the drive. The effect was to maximize attention, and waste our time. That, IMO, is --disrespectful--. Now that you've provided more complete information, a Google reveals http://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-EC-ESTK-3-5-inch-Aluminum-Enclosure/dp/B000I6JQGU with 4 x 1star reviews (nothing higher), including one that directly addresses your capacity question. I note that question was also addressed by at least one of the replies to you. The review also questions whether or not it is actually a true eSATA enclosure. If you don't trust those reviews, contact the manufacturer. It is your choice whether or not to trust their answers.
