Bill, I've 4 hosts on the network and static IPs have worked well for us. I don't understand how DHCP will fix this current issue. Using the static IP addresses the laptop can see all the internal hosts, including the gateway router. If the wireless AP dhcp server assigns the same static IP address to the laptop how does that allow it to get outside when it now cannot?
