Bill,

   Perhaps the Asus could assume the NetGear's role, but the latter has been
flawless in all its functions. Before the various Linksys wireless units
failed it was never an issue to have them function strictly as a bridge
between radio and wire; they, too, could act as routers and perhaps
firewalls. That's what I went the Asus to do, too.
