I'm on a Slackware 10.1 system where udev has been upgraded to the
version that comes with Slackware 11 and the kernel is a custom
compiled 2.6.18.8 kernel. This idVendor and idProduct info appears
under /sys, so I don't get why udev isn't seeing it. There was an
experimental option involving the netlink device, I'm wondering if
I have to say yes to that? Should I try an even newer kernel? If
I do, what else do I have to upgrade?
