Is anyone using LibreOffice? Did you switch from OpenOffice? Was there any trouble switching? Was it worth the trouble?
I've been using OpenOffice, saving documents in .doc or .xls format, on my Linux machine for a few years and am satisfied with it for the most part. I still like MS Excel 97 on my XP laptop better, but can get by with OOCalc. I am annoyed by some incompatibilities between OOWriter and MS Word 97. Simple documents convert OK in either direction. But do anything unique, like putting the tilde over an n in a Spanish word, or use bullets and it's hit or miss when I open one in the other. (I suppose it's possible that the more recent version of MS Office has "improved" in that regard, but I'm not holding my breath!)
