I suppose that I should put an fi in here somewhere because that >is a whole lot of ifs. I pulled the power plug, waited 15 minutes, then plugged it back in. The monitor did not flash. It also did not flash previously when I cut the power with the switch. Just now it occurred to me to check /var/log/Xorg.0.log. The current log is brand new, since I rebooted this morning. I read through it and the only error message was that I don't have some Cyrillic font installed that apparently Xorg wants. To summarize: The only times it flashes are upon restoring from screensaver, and when X is trying to present the Ubuntu Lucid login screen. I haven't tried connecting it to my laptop because I have work to get done tonight and I'd have to set the laptop to screensaver and restore, or reboot. I'll try that suggestion later. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
