I've had issues with wicd. Yesterday on the plane, it took wicd 5 or 6 
tries to pick up the wireless network. When that happens I just keep 
trying until it decides to work. I contemplated sending something out to 
PLUG, but got distracted with other work. I'm on Ubuntu 10.04.

Hasn't happened enough yet for me to be mildly annoyed, so I haven't 
started debugging.
