Not a SLAX user per se, but I have had the opportunity to mess around with Puppy Linux. Puppy is another breed of Linux that claims to be small and modular, last time I checked the ISO was around 100MB and came with some bare necessities. It supports persistent settings and storage as well, which is a nice plus.
