Can the SLAX modules be used with Porteus? I don't know. Best to contact someone through the Porteus website to find out.
Another possibility for your purposes is this customized version of Kubuntu 10.04. It comes with Trinity Desktop Environment (forked from KDE 3.5). It is so fast you won't believe it, has the best repos you can imagine, & is still supported for another year & a half. http://apt.pearsoncomputing.net/cdimages/index_old.html https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Kubuntu/Kde3/Lucid Cheers, Elcaset On Tue, Oct 25, 2011 at 11:31 PM, John Jason Jordan <[email protected]>wrote: > On Wed, 26 Oct 2011 00:02:22 -0500 > Richard Owlett <[email protected]> dijo: > > >Puppy, Damn Small Linux, et. al. > >They are small but lacking tools I want. > >SLAX _seemed_ to have the ideal combo of very small base > >package, but ability to add whatever I needed/wanted with > >negligible fuss/bother. > > > >YES, I want everything ;/ > > How about Lubuntu? > _______________________________________________ > PLUG mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug > -- Free Geek Seattle- Helping The Needy Get Nerdy http://www.freegeekseattle.org/ https://groups.google.com/group/freegeek-seattle/topics?hl=en K Desktop Environment- Experience Freedom & User Friendliness http://kde.org/ Free Lossless Audio Codec https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Flac Protect your digital freedom and privacy, eliminate DRM, learn more at http://www.defectivebydesign.org/what_is_drm _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
