Found this HOWTO: http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/248203-Converting-VHS-to-DVD-under-Linux-HOWTO Most of the VCR->DVD standalone recorders do *not* allow you to make a copy of any works with external copyright holders, and it may be a bit tricky to do this under linux as well... the movie studios would rather you buy the DVD version. The copy protection *can be* defeated, and has been defeated..... and it is a crime to do so, even if you have copyright, with a few rare exceptions ("I bought it on VHS and want to put it on DVD" is not one of them). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Millennium_Copyright_Act _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
