I suspect this is going to affect a lot of the local Linux crowd. Aracnet's (now SpiritOne's) reputation was built on their support of the Linux community and home servers. I'm on the phone right now with Frontier. I added a 25Mbps Fios connection when I needed faster-than-DSL speeds for work, and bent over backwards to keep the DSL link with Aracnet. It will actually save me money if I can upgrade to a business class service. SpiritOne needs to change their main web page - it still says an advantage to their service is fixed IP addresses with DSL. john- _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
