IRC is Internet Relay Chat and irc.freenode.net is a IRC Server
http://www.ubuntu-oregon.org/chat/ <-- We (Ubuntu Oregon) offer a web based
IRC client you can use to connect to IRC and participate you will just need
to input the channel to #ubuntu-classroom
