I stream internet radio stations through my computers. At home I use my desktop computer. Away from home I can do it on my laptop, and I can easily demonstrate it at the Clinic. The advantage of streaming internet radio stations is that you have literally hundreds to choose from. The disadvantage is that you need a net connection, and occasionally you lose the connection. Depending on the station you may disconnect once per hour or once every couple of weeks. I usually stream KQAC (local), but I also frequently stream Radio Classique (Paris), KUSC (Los Angeles), Swiss Classic (Bern), and ABC Classic (Melbourne), and I have book marks in Rhythmbox for dozens more. If I get disconnected it just takes a mouse click to reconnect. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
