The .gvfs folder first appeared in Ubuntu several years ago. I know that because I got hit with the same thing on my laptop, and I haven't run Ubuntu on it for at least two years now. In my case I was using rdiff-backup, rather than rsync. Eventually I figured out that a fresh install of Ubuntu would recreate the .gvfs folder, therefore there was no real need to back it up. I added it to my excludes file, rdiff-backup ignores it, and the backup completes without issue. I also dimly recall that it was part of Gnome, not Ubuntu, but that memory is sketchy. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
