Wayne, No, regular emacs that comes wih Slackware. > Hold the left mouse button down and drag to mark a region. Press the > middle button (or if you don't have a 3 button mouse, press both the left > and right buttons) to paste. After marking a section, press the right > button to cut. Just as easy to mark a region (keyboard or pointy device), then press ctrl-x w to cut and ctrl-x y to yank it back.
