Since we're on the subject, can anyone recommend an android or linux app for decoding Morse code. Ideally I would like to hold my phone near a device that is outputting Morse, and have it decode the audio into text. I've tried this one:

There's another that is $5, which I'm reluctant to spend without some assurance that it's worth it. Please note that this a request for a Morse *decoder*. By the looks of things, it seems that everyone and his brother has decided to create a Morse encoder.
