I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 with Gnome Fallback and Metacity. An icon has just shown up on the top line of the screen. It's a gray outline box with a red circle with a slash in the middle of it. If I right click on it I get the option to look at "About." If I click on About I get a window titled, "About Indicator Applet Complete." The contents of the window are a blue circle with a white lowercase letter i, followed by:
Indicator Applet Complete 12.10.1 An applet to hold all of the system indicators. (Link labeled) Indicator Applet Website Copyright (c) 2009-2010 Canonical, Ltd. [Credits] [License] [Close] The link goes to: https://launchpad.net/indicator-applet If instead of right clicking on it I left click on it, it opens the menu for the icon to its right. Any idea what this is all about? -- Regards, Dick Steffens _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
