Not really. Personal knowledge is likely to be maximized far 
beyond what I may expect. As I've said before "If retirement is 
not for education, what use is it?"

What's not clear perhaps is "does the ferrari have an accessible

Perhaps my goal could be dubbed UUCPoE. To paraphrase the 
Wikipedia article:
UUCPoE could  execute commands on and transfer files between 
computers.

This project reminds me of [and perhaps strongly influenced by] 
an E.E.lab I had ~1963.
The term's project was to design and build an oscilloscope given 
a frame holding a power supply and CRT with a plentiful 
collection of wire, transistors, resistors and capacitors.
