Sibling had an older HP inkjet fail with a weirdly blinking power LED,
haven't been able to figure out how to recover, WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER
HP INKJET, EVER. This (subject line) one came up as a possibility.
Brother distributes rpm and deb packaged drivers (which is slightly
frightening in itself, where is the source, why isn't it available
*IN* distributions?).
Anyway, doing diligence before purchasing anything.
Happy for any advice/suggestions on a this-month purchase.
TIA.
Russell,
I can't speak for the model you are asking, but I have a HL-L2395DW
Brother Laser Printer and it works fine from both Windows and Ubuntu.
Duplex printing also works, which was a little bit of a surprise as I've
struggled with that in the past.
I use the Device URI of socket://IP Address and am using the CUPS printing
method (according to the comment I placed on my configuration).
