I have a MFC-3750CDW for about three years now and other than requiring
the drivers from Brother it works great.
Auto feed scanner works using Xsane fine as well as the duplex printing.
Linux, Windows and Android though Android needs the Brother app.
The only down is the color printing quality. Nothing to write home
about. Miss my Epson for photo qualities.

Sibling had an older HP inkjet fail with a weirdly blinking power LED,
haven't been able to figure out how to recover, WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER
HP INKJET, EVER. This (subject line) one came up as a possibility.
Brother distributes rpm and deb packaged drivers (which is slightly
frightening in itself, where is the source, why isn't it available
*IN* distributions?).
Anyway, doing diligence before purchasing anything.
Happy for any advice/suggestions on a this-month purchase.
