I'd like to take a different approach than what others have addressed. A couple of questions: a)Why use a coupler? why not use a bigger cable? b)why are you unplugging and replugging it?
The only 'real' usage I can think of is plugging it into a laptop, in that case, have you looked a laptop dock? I could be completely offbase with these questions ,if so my apologies. -Eldo On 11/15/24 2:57 PM, American Citizen wrote: > Hello: > > I am using the standard ethernet connector, with two ethernet cables, > which have the RJ45 plug. > > Here's the problem, after about 200 plugs/unplugs into the coupler, the > plastic tab wears out, the cable no longer stays in the coupler and I am > forced to buy another brand new ethernet cable. > > Has anyone found a better coupler that doesn't wear out the ethernet > cable RJ45 plug? > > I did a quick look on my DuckDuckGo search engines and dozens of > manufacturers want to sell you the same type of coupler (which wears out > the cable plug tab) > > Thanks for coming up with a way to avoid this.
