I also use opensuse.org I find it pretty nice, stable and complete since mid/late 1990's
It is rpm based same like Fedora, RedHat, .... It has excellent documentation, also in pdf unlike any other distro. I use 1.5-ish year release cadence spin called Leap with KDE at 15.6 version now. It is based/compatible with their SuSE Linux Enterprise. Their support/updates overlaps with previous release. They even work with Linux Magazine every year or two on special edition: https://www.linux-magazine.com/Resources/Special-Editions/49-Getting-Started-with-Linux-2023-Edition Best luck, Tomas On Fri, Dec 20, 2024, 05:43 Nathan Petrangelo <[email protected]> wrote: > Hey all, > > My girlfriend gifted me a new PC for xmas and now I want to go Linux > shopping.
