Well, you could always right-click on the link, then select copy link
location, open an xterm window, and type "wget " then paste the link
location. hehehe. At least this procedure will take you less time than
recompressing the archive you downloaded. ;)
Anyway, if you don't want to do that, there's still a way. However, if you
use this option, netscape won't be able to process some gziped files. Like,
let's say, you have an htmls that's gziped. You won't be able to view the
html automatically anymore, as in without having to open an xterm window
and using gzip to uncompress the file then view it with netscape. To
disable the feature, you can add this in your .Xdefault file in your $HOME
directory. (You can create one if you don't have one yet. hehehe)
