I agree with what you said here. There are things that are not simply
learned in school and education doesn't end after getting a degree. Some
client expected  fresh grads to have a steep learning curve in RPC and
multithreading programming. Some project required using UML and the
application of  patterns for the design phase. I have no idea if there are
any fresh grad who are already proficient in these by virtue of his school's
curriculum. I believe the passion to learn and re educate ourselves can more
than make up for the limitations of our education system.
