Hello.

I am trying to install Oracle in my RedHat 6.2 box. This Oracle is the
one from Linux99 (yes, I only have the inkling and time to try and use it
now :)) as I am still waiting for the new one I requested from Oracle's
website. Anyways, I run orainst, then chose to install Oracle8 Standard
RDBMS. Installation goes on fine until:

Error during action 'Running startorcl.sql'.

 http://Command: /db/oracle/bin/svrmgrl <<!
 @/db/admin/orcl/create/startorcl.sql

If I ignore the said error, an error changing sys and system passwords
occur.

What am I doing wrong? Do I have to install other packages
first before the RDBMS package? Incidentally, after I re-do the whole
thing, it prompts by saying the package has been installed already. How
do I know if its already complete?

Also, can you point me to URLs/HOWTOs/tips&tricks page related to my
query.

Thanks a lot in advance!
