yes, a P3 Katmai has a 512K L2 running at half core speed.
a P3 Cumine has a 256K L2 running at core speed.
Katmai's go only up to 6O0 MHz (i think) while the Cumine goes up to 1GHz.
If its a choice between a slot1 and a fcpga motherboard, then go with the
fcpga motherboard. they've already stop manufacturing slot1 cpu's and
motherboards so what you see in the market today are old batches. the
new fcpga motherboards can also have an FSB of 133MHz for support of
133MHz Cumine's and PC133 memory while the slot1 motherboards and chipsets
can only support a FSB of 100MHz.
