i usually visit villman's http://www.villman.com/ website for the latest
hardware. their prices are usually the near the ceiling but they carry the
nice brands and some high-end hardware and they maintain a product line
not like some shops that just sell what's in demand.

as for the P4 i don't know much. try visiting intel's site.

as for mboard brand, abit, msi and asus are the best choices but its not
just mboard brand but more importantly the chipset on the motherboard.
